Congregation Beth Tikvah

For we were strangers in the land of Egypt …

at Congregation Beth Tikvah

Friday, March 20 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, March 21 at 9:30 AM

We are joining with hundreds of other synagogues to explore ways to address the humanitarian needs of those trapped at the Southern border while seeking a new life in our country, as well as those already residing within our own community.

We will inform and educate ourselves and consider resources used by other congregations to meet the challenges of “Welcoming the stranger and protecting the refugee.”

Friday evening’s service will feature a talk by Jason Hernandez, Director of the Rutgers Immigrant Community Assistance Program. On Saturday, we will share real-life stories and brainstorm about what we can do as individuals and as a congregation.
